NASA has now narrowed the landing-site candidates for the MSL Mars-rover launch this autumn down to 4 areas. The candidates include: Gale crater, Mawrth Vallis, Eberswalde crater and Holden crater. Scientists meet this week at NASA to get their final chance to make a case for the place that they want the rover Curiosity to go. After the meeting, members of the project will meet to weigh the pros and cons and come up with a recommendation to NASA. NASA will not make a final decision until late June.
