It was originallly going to cost 1,5 bill USD and should have been launched in 2009 but has posed some problems, forcing NASA to ask for an extra 85mill. USD With this latest cost overrun on the development of the Mars Science Laboratory, which is a nuclear-powered rover the size of a small car, the final price-tag will be 2,58bill USD Curiosity as it is named will study whether Mars was or is habitable.
