Spaceshuttle Endeavour has landed safely after its final mission to ISS. Meanwhile the spaceshuttle Atlantis is preparing for it's last launch to ISS Backdropped by a night time view of the Earth and the starry sky, the Space Shuttle Endeavour is photographed docked at the International Space Station on May 28, 2011. The STS-134 astronauts left the station the next day on May 29, after delivering the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer and performing four spacewalks during Endeavour's final mission.
The STS-134 crew touched down at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, wrapping up Endeavour's final mission after delivering the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer to the International Space Station.
Space Shuttle Atlantis rolled to the launch pad at NASA's Kennedy Space Center for the final time overnight Wednesday. Atlantis is targeted to launch on the final shuttle mission, STS-135, in early July. Source: NASA |
