According to official sources, China plans their own manned spacestation and expects to have it ready i 2020. In 2003 China became only the third single country in the world to put a man in space, after the United States and Russia, when Yang Liwei was launched on the one-man Shenzhou-5 mission. In September 2008, the Shenzhou-7, piloted by 3 astronauts, carried out China's first space walk. In 2011 they will launch two unmanned missions. One of these will dock another spacecraft, which is an important step towards a spacestation, that requires more than a single launch China has also declared their goal to become the second country to put a man on the moon.
