UK scientists has analyzed how soundwaves acts on different planets; The hunan voice would for example sound like Smurfs on Venus. And in a world first, the sounds of Mars and Venus are revealed as part of a planetarium show in Hampshire this Easter.

Solar system - Venus

In the grand scheme of the solar system, Venus and Earth are almost the same distance from the sun. Yet the planets differ dramatically: Venus is some 100x hotter than Earth and its days more than 200x longer. But there is another difference, too. Earth has a magnetic field and Venus does not – a crucial distinction when assessing the effects of the sun on each planet.

ESA’s Venus Express spacecraft has discovered an ozone layer high in the atmosphere of Venus. Comparing its properties with those of the equivalent layers on Earth and Mars will help astronomers refine their searches for life on other planets.

Solar system - Venus

At first glance, a weather forecaster for Venus would have either a really easy or a really boring job, depending on your point of view. The climate on Venus is widely known to be unpleasant - at the surface, the planet roasts at more than 400oC under a suffocating blanket of sulfuric acid clouds and a crushing atmosphere more than 90x the pressure of Earth's. Intrepid future explorers should abandon any hope for better days, however, because it won't change much.
